Canada's Next Great Prime Minister airs tonight! Watch CBC Television at 7 pm (7:30 nt) to find out which one of our four finalists will win $50,000 and the title of Canada's Next Great Prime Minister.
This show started online 7 months ago, when we asked young Canadians from across the country send us their one great idea for Canada. We received 144 auditions on YouTube which grew into over 500 videos as candidates debated their ideas with one another online, making this the largest online political debate in Canadian history.
After online questions, community challenges and phone interviews, we narrowed it down to 10 semi-finalists. Those 10 people were sent to Toronto for a grueling three day political boot camp where they had to compete head-to-head for one of the coveted final 4 spots.
Our four finalists have won their spots on the show where they have to complete the biggest challenge yet: getting grilled by our country's leaders and convincing our in-studio audience to vote for them as Canada's Next Great Prime Minister.
It's going to be an exciting event-- don't miss it!
